Songs to Check Out:
Might be the only child star on this list and has already had a full grown career at this point in his life, Jinsu has been performing since he was 8. Ol’ boy had a deal with Nate Dogg’s label at 9 years old, and you may have already heard of him under his older stage name, Young Jinsu. There’s been rumors of him dating Kendall Jenner and he’s been in a twitter beef with Justin Bieber. I don’t even know what else son has to look forward to, but his recent song “Cream” shows he’s still hanging in there and working towards bigger and better things.
Due to the headassery of the previously mentioned antics, you can probably guess that Jinsu has a pop sound to him; he fits in well with some of Big Sean and Tyga’s more popular stuff, honestly sounding like some sort of merging of both of them. His sound has developed over the last couple of years, and he’s come into his own as an artist, being willing to experiment a little (see “Another You”) and see how things work out. It’s worked well for him – if you still haven’t checked out “Cream”, one of the first things you’ll notice is that it was produced by Jahlil Beats. He may not be at the level he talks, but he’s definitely making moves so I respect it.
Jinsu has the sound that he needs to get big, and his history would make it seem like he’s comfortable in the limelight. I don’t know his plans for 2017, and reading through his twitter to try and find out about gave me an aneurysm, but him dropping a tape or a hot single could be enough to boost this guy into national attention. I would imagine you’ll see his name again throughout the year, if not for his music, then some other celebrity drama BS.
